Challenge 108 at Craft Your Passion

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Hubby and I are entertaining family at the ranch this week. AJ, my youngest son and his squeeze, Nikki, are visiting with my grandkids Isabel (Bel), 7 and Carter, 3. They are such a joy to have around and spoil.

So I’m a little late this morning posting my project for Craft Your Passion as we have been busy with our out of town guests. Our new challenge is “Texture” with our sponsors The Cutting Café and The Robin’s Nest. The entire team is using The Cutting Café’s “Rain, Rain Go Away” stamp set.
For my card I used the umbrella stamp printed on designer paper from My Mind’s Eye, Sunshine Collection.
Here is a close up of the raindrops on my card which were made with Viva Décor Gloss Pen. They mimic dewdrops.
Here’s the inside with the sentiment from my stamp set.

Supplies:
DPs – My Mind’s Eye, Sunshine
Cardstock – Bazzill
Flowers – WOC & Prima
Dies/Punches – Sizzix; Marta Stewart
Rhinestones – K & Company
Thread – DMC
Stickles – Ranger
Gloss Gel – Viva Décor

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

Hello, Friends. It is another I Brake for Stamps Tuesday DT project. For my card today I made a “Home Sweet Home” or in my case “Home Sweet Ranch” card. I love stamps like these because they remind me of home. My barn doesn’t look like this one but I love the old red barns you see while driving in the country.
This stamp is called “Rustic Barn” and is available in the store here.
Here is the inside of my card. I created the sentiment on my PC.
And these are the Copics I used to color my image.

Supplies:
DPs – PTI, Pacific Vineyard; Echo Park, This & That Charming
Cardstock – Bazzill
Button – From my stash
Ribbon – JoAnn’s
Punches & Die Cuts – Martha Stewart; Spellbinders
Distress Ink – Ranger, Walnut Stain
Distressing Tool – Zutter Distress It All

You can get this stamp and so many others at I Brake for Stamps. Use my coupon code SAVE10CATHY for 10% off your purchase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Challenge #107 at CYP

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Poor hubby has been on crutches all day Sunday. He was cutting tree branches that were hanging over our garden on Saturday and stepped off the ladder and hurt his foot. So I told him, "if it's bad enough to use crutches then you need to go to the doctor." If it's not better today I'm driving him myself tomorrow. He has a BIG birthday coming up on Tuesday, I won't say how old he is but it is a major milestone. :)

Our new challenge is up at Craft Your Passion and this week our theme is a Photo Inspiration. So head over there and check it out. Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo and Milk Coffee.
For my card I’m using a digi available from Milk Coffee. She looks like a professional working woman so I made a Congrats on your Promotion card.
The congrats tag pulls out from behind the motif.
Here’s the inside of my card with the rest of the sentiment.

Supplies:
DPs – SEI “Aunt Gerdie’s Garden”
Cardstock – Bazzill
Flowers – WOC
Ribbon Ofray
Tag – Magnolia

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

Make It Monday – Anything Goes

I hope you join us for the fun at CYP this week for a chance to win some wonderful prizes from our sponsors!

Don't forget to enter a chance to win my Magnolia Candy if you haven't already.

See you tomorrow with a new card for "I Brake for Stamps."

I Brake for Mermaids

Hello, Friends. It is another I Brake for Stamps Tuesday DT project. This one features a lovely mermaid stamp named “Mareisha” and is one my favorites in my collection. She was so much fun to color.
All of the colors in my card remind me of my Royal Caribbean Cruise I took last December with my sisters and our hubbies in the Western Caribbean. We had a grand time but it was too short.
I love these designer papers from BoBunny. They fit perfectly with my ocean/mermaid theme. And if you know me, I love a fabulous turquoise and orange color combo; it’s one of my favorites. I colored my image with Copics and this is the first time I’ve used this particular color mixture for red hair.
Here are the Copics I used to color Mareisha. For her hair I used E99, E97, YR12 & YR21. I hope you give it a try.

Supplies:
DPs – BoBunny
Cardstock – The Paper Co. and HOTP
Flowers – WOC
Ribbon – Ofray
Punches – Martha Stewart
Distress Ink & Stickles - Ranger

You can get this stamp and so many others at I Brake for Stamps. Use my coupon code SAVE10CATHY for 10% off your purchase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Punches & Die Cuts for CYP

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! We had 4 inches of snow (thunder snow to be exact) on Saturday evening and most of it was gone by Sunday. We can still get snow in April so our winter is not over here in Colorado. Yesterday we had a herd of 6 Elk grazing in the neighboring pastures which was a site to see as they are much larger animals than the typical Black-tailed Deer that we usually see in these parts. I took a couple photos to share. A few of them are juveniles and where playing by chasing each other. It was fun to watch.

I also have Magnolia Candy that I will be sharing with you this week so come back and visit as I will post it all by Friday.

Punches & Die Cuts
Our new challenge is up at Craft Your Passion and this week our theme is “Punches & Die Cuts.” So to get you inspired the CYP DT has lots of lovely cards for you here. Our sponsors this week are Stitchy Bear and Simon Says Stamp.
For my card I used Bazzill and Paper Company cardstock. My image is a digi from Floppy Latte Designs available at Stitchy Bear.
I used Cheery Lynn Designs “English Tea Time” doily die and my corners are from Cuttlebug. My ribbon is from Michaels and flower is WOC.

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

Make It Monday – Anything Goes

I hope you join us for the fun at CYP this week for a chance to win some wonderful prizes from our sponsors!

I Brake for Gift Bags

Hello, Friends. It is another I Brake for Stamps Tuesday DT project. This one features a sweet stamp called “Noah’s Ark.” This is the perfect stamp for a children’s card or a gift bag as I’ve made here.
I used a plain white gift bag and added embossed polka dot cardstock from DCWV Nana’s Kids.
I colored my image with Copics and matted it on a piece of yellow cardstock from my stash. Added several SEI buttons with Doodlebug bakers twine, a satin ribbon bow from my stash and it was done. So simple and easy.

You can get this stamp and so many others at I Brake for Stamps. Use my coupon code SAVE10CATHY for 10% off your purchase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Challenge #105 at Craft Your Passion

Hello my fellow bloggers! We had an awesome Easter and my brother-in-law joined Hubby and I for Easter dinner. I would like to start by saying that it was fabulous which is due to the awesome cooking of my favorite Chef, Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond. My twice baked potatoes were a hit. I also made a 10 lb. baked Ham, roasted asparagus and Ree’s Crème Brulee from this season’s Pioneer Woman on Food Network. I love Crème Brulee but never had to nerve to make my own but, because I love Ree and all her country living which includes her awesome recipes I had to try it. With that I will just say that there were only happy faces at  dinner last night. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!

Our new challenge is up at Craft Your Passion and this week our theme is “Shaped Cards.” That means no Rectangular or Square cards are allowed. I can’t wait to see what you all create. So to get you inspired the CYP DT has lots of ideas; you can visit them here. So without further ado our sponsor this week is Kenny K.
For my shaped card this week I used  a gear/circle shape that I created in Adobe Illustrator with a little inspiration from none other than Google search. There are so many things you can search on. Just type in a question, phrase or word and it will find a resource or an answer. I found a multitude of images with Steampunk inspiration for my card on Google.
I used BoBunny Timepiece collection for my DPs and Bazzill cardstock with a gear cut by hand (yes, I do that occasionally) and embossed with my Cuttlebug. Then I used Brushed Corduroy to distress the embossing and make it really stand out. I used the gear to create a circle easel card to display my gorgeous Val Ventura digi stamp.
Wow, did she take forever to complete! I love these stamps and they are fun to color but it took me 2 hours to color her with planning and testing.

These are the Copics I used to color Val Ventura, my new Steampunk baby!

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

Make It Monday – Anything Goes
Moving Along with the Times - Va Va Voom

Thanks for letting me share my CYP card with you this week!

Challenge 104 at CYP

Hello, Friends and Happy Monday. It was like summer here yesterday with 80 degrees. That is really unusual for Colorado at this time of year and today it is cold and windy. Hubby left for New Mexico Spaceport for a rocket launch on Friday so the dogs have been sulking all weekend. Dana misses her daddy. Here’s a photo of my puppies.
Of course, they aren’t puppies by any means but I call them that. They’re actually seniors...Dana, the Mantle, turned 9 in December and Dante, the Fawn, is now 8 years old as of February. You wouldn’t know it though cause they run and play like puppies. The average age for Great Danes and most Giant Breeds is about 8 years but they can live 10 - 12 years old. These two have been very healthy...knock on wood.

Our new challenge is up at Craft Your Passion and this week our theme is “Dots and Stripes.” Our wonderful sponsors this week is A Day for Daisies, Bunny Zoe and Scrapper’s Delights.
For my project this week I made a sweet Easter basket with my image on two sides of the basket. The image is from A Day for Daisies called Spring Rabbit. My DPs are from We R Memory Keepers and it is dots on one side and stripes on the opposite side.
I used a tutorial from Archiver’s for my basket. You can find it here. They have some very inspiring project ideas on their website and I love to browse.

I colored my bunnies with Copics: V17, V15, V12, Y18, Y15, Y11, R85, R83, R81, G24, G21, G20.

Supplies:
Designer Papers – We R Memory Keepers
Punches – Marta Stewart
Ribbon – American Crafts
Pearls – Recollections

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

Make It Monday – Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by to have a look. I hope you have a great week!
