So for the next two weeks we would love for you to join us with…

Butterflies

So that means butterfly paper, die cuts, anything with butterflies on it qualifies.

My card features “Princess Pea Tilda” paired with “Tilda Mattress” from the Once Upon a Time Collection. My image was colored with Copics and Fran-tage Vintage Embossing enamel around the edges. I die cut my Tim Holtz butterflies from Maja papers as well as my Magnolia Castle Doohickey.

I also used Magnolia Butterfly Kit stamps with SU Eggplant ink. This is such a pretty jeweled color.

Here’s a close up of Tilda. What a cute stamp.

...and a closer look at the details.

Midweek Magnolias - Color Inspiration

Hello, Friends! The Midweek Magnolias has a new challenge for you with a Color Combo…

We picked a photo from Design Seeds (see below) and I just love this Web site for color inspiration and the photos are spectacular.

This week my card features an adorable stamp called “Tilda with Corkscrews” from the Once Upon a Time collection. I don’t know about you but I am “old enough” to remember my mother using strips of fabric for rolling my hair in the evening. She would roll my hair on the fabric in a corkscrew method and wrap it so I would have corkscrew curls in the morning. Today, they call it spiral curls and it’s usually a perm. LOL

I colored Tilda with Copics but I have to give credit to Cinzia. I love her artwork and her coloring always inspires me. I used a similar technique for my folds in Tilda’s Dress. It just looks so natural. Go check out Cinzia’s blog. She does a lovely job on her coloring.

I added a background stamp that I got from Magnolia-licious called “Princess Castle” of the Princes and Princesses 2012 collection. She pairs so nicely with these images. And I used the darling Mice stamp from my Magnolia Stamp Club collection. To be honest, I was humming the Cinderella song “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” while coloring this cutie. It reminded me of the darling mice mending and dressing her in the morning. I have granddaughters that are Disney Fans so you’ll have to bear with me…LOL

Here’s a close up of Tilda. She is one of my new favorite stamps.

And...here's your Color Inspiration Photo for this week.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

CLP – Sketch
Tilda’s Town – Use a Magnolia Background
MDUC – Lace and Flowers
Make It Monday – Anything Goes

We would love for you to join us at Midweek Magnolias and don’t forget to stop over at the DT’s blogs for inspiration on our color theme.

Have a Sunny Day - Weather Challenge

Hello, Friends. I hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend. I shared a fun Mini Magnolia gift box yesterday and I hope you had time to stop and leave a comment for a chance to win a weekly prize from Diana at the Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps store.

We are beginning a new challenge today for the next two weeks we want to see your…

The DT has some awesome inspiration for you and there is weather of all kinds in our projects. I decided that since we had 8 inches of snow just less than two weeks ago I wanted to create a card that was warm and summery. Of course, we went from winter to summer in a mad rush over the last couple weeks and we have 80 degrees temps in the forecast for this week. So I am dreaming of beaches, sun and sand.

My card features “Tilda Off Shore” paired with “Rescue Tower” and “Have a Sunny Day” sentiment all from the 2012 Summer Memories collection. I made a shaker card with Making Memories gold bitty beads and a background photo I took when my DH and I went to Maui. This is the private beach of The Ritz Carlton in Kapalua.

My easel card has designer papers from Bo Bunny’s Key Lime collection which has a bit of a Retro style to them. The cardstock is Bazzill and Paper Co. For the base layer of the easel card I stamped “Mini Ahoy Tilda” on the inside with blank space for a personal message. All of the shells are from Petaloo and the brad buttons are embellishments from the Bo Bunny Key Lime collection. The dies cuts are Magnolia’s Swirl die, Spellbinders Floral frame and the small rolled roses were cut with my Marianne Designs die.

Here’s a close up of Tilda. She is so darling and I enjoyed coloring her.

And finally a close up of the detail elements.

I’m entering my card in the following challenges:

MDUC – Move it Baby (shaker card)
Make It Monday – Anything Goes
Simply Magnolia – Shaker Card
CMC Challenge – Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door – Anything Goes

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during Wee Wednesday.

It's Mini Monday

Good Morning, Friends. I hope all you lovely moms out in blogland had a great Mother’s Day. My DH and I celebrated with a little shopping (for me) and grilling out on Saturday evening with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. The weather here has finally turned to spring and we’ve had nice warm temps and a little rain which our garden is in sorely need.

My Mini Monday DT sisters, Suzanne and Ruby have been busy creating some fun projects and cards to inspire you. We love our Mini Magnolias.

My daughter, Abi, has a birthday coming up in June and I thought this would be a great time to create the packaging for her gift. It is a small round box I cut from a Silhouette Cameo file using designer papers from Pink Paislee. The contents are a secret though...however I am making something special for her and this box is the perfect size.

I used the sweet “Mini Happy Princess Tilda” from the Once upon a Time collection for the gift tag. Tilda was colored with Copics and I die cut her from a new Spellbinders frame called Adorning Squares. Then I embossed the outer edge of the frame with Vintage Teal Fran-tage.

I added ribbon roses and pearls to the box with a pretty flower from Webster’s Pages to finish it off.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on the Challenge Blog or the DT blogs for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps.

I’ll see you back here tomorrow for our new challenge for Magnolia-licious. Thanks for visiting and have a great week.

Midweek Magnolias - Challenge #60

Hello, Friends! The Midweek Magnolias has a new challenge up for you and we would like you all to join us for the…

Die Cuts and/or Punches Challenge

This is so simple, right? We all use these fun elements on our cards so if you have a Magnolia stamp or Magnolia product of some type I hope you are ready to create a project and join us for the challenge. This is your chance to win a Mystery Prize from Magnolia Sweden.

I must take this opportunity and apologize for my tardiness, but so many stressful life events have interrupted my fun over the last couple of weeks. So without further ado…

This week my card features a lovely stamp called “Tilda in Cotton Dress” from the Once Upon a Time collection. I colored her with Copics and gave her crown some blingy rhinestones and sparkle with Silver Stickles. Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner I had to add a darling tag with a “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment and a little lock and key to go with. My mother will love this card. She holds the key to my heart as any mother would.

I used some gorgeous Maja papers from C’est Magnifique and Bazzill cardstock as usual. Tilda’s frame is one of the new Spellbinders Opulent Oval dies; I love these fancy cuts and embossed edges.
I used my Magnolia Crown kit stamps to accent my Lace Coasters doily die and I brushed a little Walnut Stain Crackle Paint around the edges for a distressed look. The keyhole accent is a chipboard die cut from Blue Fern Studios and I embossed it with Fran-tage Taupe embossing enamel. I did the same with the Magnolia Vintage Keys die. I just love this stuff, it gives your elements a real vintage look to any crafty project. I am using this embossing enamel for my scrapbook pages and it makes the photos really stand out!

Here’s a close up of Tilda. She is super cute and adorable. I love her dress, I did a lot of practice coloring on her dress with different fold techniques and she just looks awesome any way you color her. She reminds me of my wedding day. However, I had lots and lots of ruffles in my dress.

My wedding dress was for cool weather and my hubby and I, Bruce, got married on July 29. OMG!!! I was about to faint in the heat and humidity of Omaha, Nebraska…LOL. Nevermind, the  light blue eye shadow, (AWK!) that my hair and makeup stylist did. Yikes!!! But it was the most joyous day of my life!

I didn’t decorate the inside of my card this time as I will write something special for my Mum for this card.
However, the detailed elements I wanted to point out are the tag I made with a sentiment from my PC on my Magnolia Tilda Ticket die and I created two Vellum envelopes to hold the tags. The Vellum is from HOTP and was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I also heat embossed Fran-tage Vintage Ivory Embossing Enamel with the Magnolia Crown kit stamps. Such a fun technique!

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
MDUC – Sketch
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Dutch Magnolia Lovers – Mother’s Day
Southern Girls Challenge – Sentiment/Quote
Tilda’s Town – Anything Goes
CMC Challenge – Celebrate Something

Can’t wait to see how you use those awesome die cuts and/or punches to create something spectacular.

Wee Wednesday - Hugs from Hopeful

Hello, Friends. Happy Wednesday! It’s time for another Wee Wednesday. Eulanda and I are showcasing our cards for this week and I hope you enjoy these darling stamps.

I was recently inspired by Norma Lee of "From My Craft Room" to create a Front Side Step card and it just so happens I had this lovely “Hopeful” stamp all colored up. I used some fun new papers from Doodlebug Design for her as the colors are just perfect and all of my cardstock is Bazzill.

She is framed with my new Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 die and I inked the outer edge with Spun Silk Distress Ink. I colored Hopeful with Copics and added a little gold Spica to her hair for shine and sparkle.

My Magnolia tag die has a “HUGS” sentiment from Hero Arts with a new decorative rhinestone from Queen & Co. I also used one for the middle of my ribbon bow made with Vintage Seam Binding from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pearl lace is from JoAnn’s Fabrics. I love browsing this store for unusual elements to use on my cards. All of my flowers are from Prima, layered with brads from my stash. My flourish die cut is from Marianne Designs.

Here’s a close up of my image. She is certainly adorable and fits lots of occasions.

I added a couple of flowers to the inside and a blank label for a personal message.

I’m entering my card in the following challenges:

Make It Monday – Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door – Anything Goes
Love to Create - Punches and/or Dies
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
