Birthday Baby Girl - Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps

Hello, Friends. Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and you're looking forward to the next one.

My husband, DSIL (Shane), and I loaded 188 bales of Hay for our horses yesterday. My lovely daughter, Abi drove the truck and trailer on Monday, I drove on Tuesday. I am so tired and glad we have about 22 months of Hay for our horses, Dallas & Duncan. Dallas is an AQHA Red Roan and loves his new hay that we bought from our neighbor's farm. As a test to see if they would eat the Brome Hay, our neighbor gave us a bale to see if they'd like it. They are normally Timothy/Alfalfa Hay fed horses. We set the bale at the end of the horse's paddock and Dallas came in from the pastor for a drink and found the new hay. He started eating and preferred it over fresh pastor grass. Now, that is some good hay… Duncan followed suit of course as Dallas is never out of his sight. Such entertaining animals they are.

It's time for another Wee Wednesday. There are so many adorable stamps in the Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps store. I also have an announcement of my candy winner so, please read to the end.

My project this week features a cute and adorable stamp called "Birthday Baby Girl" by Sylvia Zet, designer of Wee Stamps. I created a birthday gift bag for this project. I think she is so adorable and very easy to color. This is perfect for that 1st year birthday card stamp or gift bag as I have done for that sweet little girl. I used some pretty stickled butterfly die cuts by Marianne Designs and Memory Box, papers from DCWV and ribbon roses from my stash. Not to mention, my favorite embellishments this week, Magnolia Doo Bee Pops. I made balloons for this cute bag in different colors with baker's twine from Doodle Bug Designs and an American Crafts ribbon tied in a bow, to hold them. I finished it with a sentiment I created on my PC with a Spellbinders fancy label die cut.

Here's a close-up of Birthday Baby Girl.

Magnolia-licious – Love is in the Air

Hello, Friends. Wow, June is almost over and I can't believe that we at Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps are back with a new challenge already. The summer is just flying by it seems.

This fortnight our theme for the challenge is…

Love is in the Air

And with that I immediately thought it appropriate for a Wedding card. So, I'm sharing a white-on-white wedding card with you and what better collection to choose a stamp from than the new Special Moments collection. I do have to say though that my card was inspired by my DT sister, Chris. You can see her card here. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

My card features Doo Bee Pops Bride Tilda from the Special Moments collection with a Doo Bee Pop wedding dress. She was colored in Copics and has Glamour Dust sprinkled on her vein. I cut her out and mounted her on my Marianne Designs die cut. I love this die cut and have had it for a long time but have never used it for a card. I added string pearls to the edge of it for an elegant look. My smooth white cardstock is Bazzill and covered with lace from LLC. I used a Magnolia heart border die cut to the edge of my card. The flowers are from Prima with pearl sprays and some Magnolia sprays. My Magnolia Wrapped Heart Tag is adorned with Ceremony Ring Kit stamps embossed with silver embossing powder and a lace bow. I finished the card with a Vintage Key die cut covered with Glamour Dust and a wedding bells charm I got at Michaels.

Here's a close up of Tilda.

BBQ/Summer

So any creation that features Summer in some way will get you a chance to win a Mystery Prize from Magnolia Sweden.

This week I used “Tilda with Anchor” from the 2012 summer Memories collection. My summer theme is the ocean, water, sailing if you will. Tilda was colored with Copics and Vintage Frantage was embossed around the edges of her frame. I colored my pearls with my Copic markers to match her outfit and added Glossy Accents to her Anchor. I used some gorgeous new Maja Designs papers which are torn and distressed.

I added a couple new Magnolia die cuts which I get from the Magnolia-licious store. The flowers are from LLC, Kort & Godt, Magnolia & WOC. The strings of pearls are also from WOC and the adorable ship’s helm charm is from LLC.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

As you can see my project is a paper crafted Horse Carousel. It’s a 3D cutting file available at Silhouette Cameo.

My project features 3 Mini Carousel Horses from the Magnolia-licious store. I colored them with Copics and decked out the Carousel with pretty Magnolia papers from the Butterfly Dreams collection.

I kept the embellishments simple with ribbon roses, string pearls, flowers and a Swarovski crystal with pearl top.

Mini Monday - Graduation Edwin

Good Morning, Friends. Happy Monday! It’s time again for Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Mini Monday.

This week my card had to be about graduation since my nephew, Mark graduated from high school this year.

The card features Mini Graduation Edwin available in the Magnolia-licious store. I used some digi papers I got on Etsy that matched Mark’s school colors. The cap is a Silhouette Cameo cutting file and I distressed it to give it a little depth. I cut my Magnolia pennant and Christmas tag die cuts to spell out Class of 2013.

I rolled a small piece of white cardstock distressed with Walnut Stain and wrapped it with jute twine for a dimensional diploma. Square black brads in the corners finished the card.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on the Challenge Blog or the DT blogs for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps.

All the details can be found on the challenge blog.

In a previous "Mini Monday" post I made a small box for my daughter to hold her birthday gift and I wanted to share the contents with you. Her Birthday is tomorrow and I gave it to her this weekend while she was here at the ranch.

I made her 7 pair of earrings and a turquoise necklace and bracelet set. Beading has also become one of my favorite pastimes.

Well that’s it for me for today. I’ll see you back here on Wednesday for another Magnolia project. Don’t forget to enter my candy if you’d like a chance to win. HERE is the post.

Wee Wednesday - Shelley

Hello, Friends. Happy Wednesday! It’s time for another Wee Wednesday. There are so many adorable stamps in the Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps store. I also have some candy today that I will run until next week so read through the end for your chance to win.

My card today features a sweet Wee Stamp called, Shelley. Very appropriately named isn’t she? I colored her in Copics, added Glamour Dust to her fins and the pearls in her hair. The shells on the rock got a generous coat of Glossy Accents. My papers are from Bo Bunny’s Barefoot and Bliss collection all matted on Bazzill cardstock. These are such fun summer themed papers and perfect for my little mermaid. The blue swirls paper was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder inked with Marina Mist ink from Stampin' Up.

I heat embossed my Magnolia Memory Shells from the 2012 Summer Memories collection with Ivory Frantage and used an ink resist technique to color the shells with various Stampin’ Up inks. I added some Hibiscus flower die cuts from Memory Box; I’ve been dying to use these. I get all my Magnolia and Memory Box dies from my favorite place to shop, Magnolia-licious.

I added orange Viva Décor pearls for the pollen in the middle of my flowers. I finished off the card with a ribbon bow from American Crafts and dots of Viva Décor pearl pen around Shelley’s frame.
Here’s a close up of Shelley.

Luscious Lace at Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps

Hello, Friends. It is going to be hot here this week; Denver hit a record 99 degrees yesterday which is unusual for early June. And it’s supposed to be like this all week. I don’t mind it if the humidity is low. Otherwise it’s like walking into a shower outside in the middle of the day.

The Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps Design Team has a new challenge posted and we hope you'll join us this fortnight with…

Luscious Lace

You can use paper or fabric, whatever suits your fancy.

My card features “Princess Tilda with Ballet Shoes” from the Once Upon a Time Collection. I went all out with the lace by using it for Tilda’s tutu, her frame and the edge of my card. Tilda is colored with Copics and I used Martha Stewart lace for her skirt. I cut around her hand to bring it forward over her skirt for a dimensional effect. I also gave her skirt a scattering of silver Stickles for a little bling as well as her crown and sleeves.

I used my Old Swedish Lace die cut for her frame and added Marine Blue Frantage for a vintage look. The rhinestones at the corners are from Queen & Co. All of my papers are from Maja Designs matted on Bazzill cardstock, distressed with Pumice Stone Distress ink, machine stitched and torn around the edges. The Lace Coaster die cut is from Magnolia and I cut out the middle to allow the layers to show through. My fabric lace is from WOC and I added Magnolia Swirl die cuts from my designer paper and cardstock. I finished the card with a flower arrangement made with Marianne Designs rolled roses with Frantage and pearls. The rest of the flowers are from Prima, Magnolia and WOC with a few leaves from my Nellie Snellen punch. I added silver Stickles to the Magnolia and WOC roses for more bling. Finally, I made a bow with satin ribbon from JoAnn’s to finish the card.

Here’s a close up of Tilda in her sparkly lace tutu.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

A Creative Romance - Anything Goes
Wild Orchid Crafts - Lots of Layers

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge Blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during Wee Wednesday.

Anything Goes with Vintage/Frantage option

Hello, Friends! We are back with a new challenge for you at Midweek Magnolias. This week we have a real easy one…

Anything Goes with
Vintage/Frantage option

If you’re like me, you like to be at the forefront of some of the newest crafting products. And I gotta tell ya, I am all about the Frantage Vintage Embossing Enamels from Stampendous. I can’t get enough of them.

This week I used “Sweet Pea Tilda” from the Once Upon a Time collection on my card. I don’t often color using the no-lines method but I wanted to challenge myself this week and made a go of it. I used Aged Ivory Frantage around her frame then distressed with Brushed Corduroy.

My papers are from Pion this week and I get mine at C’est Magnifique. I added a flower spray using Prima, Kort & Godt, WOC and a Marianne Designs Rolled Rose die cut. My tag is a Magnolia Tilda Ticket die cut distressed and stamped with Magnolia postage stamps.

The lace was white but I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. The birdhouse chipboard is from Maya Road, embossed with Aged Teal Frantage. I added a bird charm from Nunn Designs and vintage seam binding from WOC. The pearls from Queen and Co. in the corners finish the card.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

Totally Tilda – Postage
Simply Magnolia – Layers and Lace
Make It Monday – Anything Goes

We would love for you to join us this week and don’t forget to stop over at the DT’s blogs for inspiration.
