Midweek Magnolias - Anything Goes with a Magnolia Image

Happy Hump Day!

The Midweek Magnolias are back with a new challenge. This fortnight our theme is…

“Anything Goes with a Magnolia image”

Join us for the challenge following our theme and rules and you could have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

My card features “Christmas Caramel Tilda” from “A Lovely Christmas” collection. My designer papers are from Doodlebug Design’s Sugarplums collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. I stitched all of my DP panels and added Magnolia Antique Lace trim on one panel and Teeny Tiny Pompom trim along with diamond wrap on another panel.

I created my little gumdrop banner by drawing a template on white cardstock and added Glossy Accents sprinkled with Doodlebug sugar glitter. Once they were dry I cut them out and glued them to some silver baker’s twine for my banner.

I had some cute Christmas cookie cutter embellishments in my stash that I added and I cut some candy canes from my La-La-Land die. I added a few flowers and vintage seam binding then finished off the card with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Here’s a close up of Tilda colored with Distress Inks. I also coated her frame with Diamond Dust glass glitter for sparkle.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join in the challenge for a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

Marvelous Magnolias - Ribbon or Lace

Hello, Magnolia Friends!

I am now a part of the
Marvelous Magnolia Design Team.
YEAH!

I am so honored and proud to be part of such a creative, inspiring and talented team. I am on the Romance DT so I’ll be posting here every 15th of the month for our challenges.

Our September challenge theme is...

"Ribbon or Lace"

and our fabulous sponsor this month is iamroses.

My card features “Tilda Enjoying Summer” from the SeaSide collection. I used some pretty Maja Design papers paired with Bazzill cardstock.

I used lots of Magnolia DooHickey dies, pretty flowers and ribbon. I love creating multiple layers with my designer papers, doilies and cheese cloth. They give lots of dimension and texture to my cards.

Here’s a close up of Tilda colored with Copics.

Challenges:
Craft Your Passion – Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in to visit and have a great day!

Tilda with Daisies and Mushrooms

Hello, Friends! I know it seems a bit early but I had to start digging out my autumn stamps because our mornings are getting brisk here in Colorado. Autumn is very close upon us so I felt an urge to make a fall themed card.

I decided to color Tilda with Daisies and Mushrooms from the Turning Leaves collection. I used some pretty Maja Design papers that I have in my hoard stash. These are from the Walking in the Forest collection. I still have several sheets left to use for some scrapbook pages and cards. I also used Bazzill cardstock, my favorite, for the card base and some of the die cuts.

I’ve been coloring with Distress Inks more as well because it’s very relaxing. I need to work on my backgrounds a bit to get them smoother and I like to use darker shadows to really make the image pop. You are sure to see more DI coloring from me.

I still love my Copics but I can color an image in half an hour so it is not as relaxing. DIs take me a bit longer and it helps to reduce stress.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.
