Magnolia-licious - Anything Goes

Hello, Magnolia Friends. Happy Tuesday!

...and that means we have a new challenge

“Anything Goes”

My card for this new challenge features a new Magnolia stamp from the Hoppy Easter collection. My designer papers are from Pion Design, paired with Bazzill cardstock. I inked around the edges of my paper panels and other elements with Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain DI.

I kept the card simple with a “CUTE” banner die cut from some Taylored Expressions tags. The words are from the Pion papers I used. I included a few flowers and Jute twine for a bow.

Here’s a close up of Tilda colored with Distress Inks.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for the challenge for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate in the Magnolia-licious store. Shawn always has something new to stop by and see the monthly specials and new additions to the store. He has stocked some new Ranger products and fabulous Pion paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Magnolia-licious - Stamping Bella

Hello, Magnolia Friends!

It’s my turn to share a new DT card midway through our challenge so I created a cute Stamping Bella card.

Her name is Tiny Townie Garden Girl Orchid. Isn’t she adorable? I used the companion die to cut her out. I just love how easy it was to use.

The die is open so you can see exactly where to position it when sending it through the die cutting machine. I also used the die to cut a piece of fun foam to adhere the image to for a dimensional effect. It fits perfectly!

I used some pretty BoBunny papers from the Secret Garden collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. The BoBunny “Bloom” chipboard tag and brads are also from the collection and follow the garden theme. Most of my flowers were die cut with Marianne Designs rolled rose die and you certainly can’t have flowers without butterflies. They make cards so springy and colorful.

My flower border is a Joy Crafts die and the tiny tags on the right are from the Oh-La-La DooHickey Die Kit Volume 3. I finished the tags with some pretty bows from vintage seam binding.

Here’s a close-up of my Tiny Townie colored with Distress Inks.

Don’t forget to stop by Magnolia-licious and check out the new Pion Paper that Shawn has added to the store. They are some of my favorite “go to” designer papers for card making and highly sought after for those vintage scrapbook layouts!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I’ll be back next week. See you then…

Magnolia-licious - Anything Goes with the Option of Metal

Hello, Magnolia Friends. Happy Tuesday!

It’s the first Tuesday of the month and that means we have a new challenge

“Anything Goes” with the option of Metal.

I’ve been away for a while but now I’m back to crafting and boy, did I miss it!!!

My card for this new challenge features “Little Miss Tilda” from the Sakura collection. My designer papers are from Maja Designs, Vintage Spring Basics collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. I distressed my designer paper panels with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and cut out some butterflies from the paper collection for springy dimensional detail.

I used lots of fun Magnolia DooHickey dies for an Easter theme. My tags have some Martha Stewart lace and white baker’s twine. A doily, some chipboard under Tilda’s frames for dimension and WOC flowers finishes the card.

Here’s a close up of Tilda colored with Copics.

Check out the new Springtime DooHickey dies in the store. I love the cute daffodils; I can't wait to play with these! Shawn also has the new Magnolia Spring Time Stamp Collection available now at Magnolia-licious

I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for the challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
